What a difference 6 months has made. With all the set backs we were beginning to wonder when or even if we might have 2A finished.

From a dust bed to now just 1/5 empty 2A is changing daily.

The new additions to our family have taken great pride in becoming part of Topsail Sound RV Park and it shows in their second homes at the beach. If you have not had a chance to meet some of these nice people, do take the time. I am sure you will agree we have the nicest people here at Topsail Sound RV Park.

Phase 2A Is Open & Filling Fast

Remote Entry Available

Remote entries are now available for purchase in the office for $20. The remotes are nice during a rain storm as they keep you from getting wet. They also will keep your car cool during the summer as they keep the cool air from escaping through your open window.

Just a few words of wisdom about the remotes. They work

better if you point them at the keypad instead of the gate itself.

Only 1 car can go through the open gate at a time. Please be cautious of this so your car does not become scratched and dented from the gate. Please obey the speed limit coming through the gate. There may be someone walking off the sidewalk.

    Community Shelter Meeting

One of our big projects for this year is building the Community Shelter beside the Main Building. We have out grown the recreation room as our gathering place for our planned cook-outs and see this as a usable space for many gatherings, not just cookouts.

The shelter will be 30’ wide X 60’ long and centered with the sidewalk of the bathhouses. In the end closest to the road we plan to put a snack bar.                        ‘

We need input from our lessees. Ones who will use the shelter, ones who have knowledge of how to build the shelter, ones who will help build the shelter, ones who can help with supplies or know of how to get them at a reduced rate.

We would like to have all the input we could get so we will be having a brainstorming session Saturday November 24 at 6pm in the recreation room. Please make plans to attend.

As everyone knows your water must be turned off when you leave. What you do not know is where the main cutoff is. You were told it was one of the blue valve handles. That was incorrect. Both of the blue handles must be turned off or the main cutoff (the meter valve) needs to be turned off each time you leave. The meter valve is the knob closest to the road and the two holes on the knob must be lined up for the water to be completely off.  In some cases you may need a pair of pliers to turn the meter stop off.  If you have questions please see Bill Kenan, Chris or Sandie.

Spraying Schedule

For your comfort spraying for bugs will now be on a set schedule.  The fogger will be run every Friday & Saturday night just before dark until it becomes too cold and the bugs are no long a nuisance.

The spray is nontoxic and will not harm you or your pets in anyway. It just helps to eliminate most of the flying bugs and makes it more comfortable to be outside after dark.

Check out the web-site for new updates.

In answer to your requests for a boat parking area we have assigned a  designated area at the back entrance beside the sewer area and behind lot 227 on the lot map.

We do ask that the boats be backed in close and at an angle. This will allow the center of the area to be clear to allow more lessees to be able to use this common area.

We are also thankful to Dean Michaux for keeping a watchful eye out on the boats that are parked at the back area. Thank You Dean!
